I was born in Baragiano, a small town in Basilicata, from which my journey to discover the world started. I was lucky enough to spend my childhood in contact with nature, learning to appreciate the beauty and the alternation of the seasons and its fruits. The winter period, on the other hand, punctuated by the reading and intriguing tales of my father, has stirred the curiosity towards "the elsewhere, the different", of people and distant civilizations, ancient and contemporary.
A thirst for knowledge that, after graduation, prompted me to enroll in the Oriental of Naples, where I graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures. From that multifaceted University came the push to long stays abroad for study-work reasons that unquestionably enriched my cultural background.
My professional career has led me to try my hand in numerous fields, from commercial to receptive, from teaching to publishing, and finally - after a Masters in Tourism - working for several years in Rome for the Italian Association of Companies Hotel.
In parallel with my professional career, during the years I lived in the capital, I embarked on a new and challenging cycle of studies that focused my steps on the "Via dell'Oriente", leading me to deepen my knowledge of disciplines such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu, Qigong, TuiNa. From 2010 onwards the learning path, the diplomas and the acquired skills have allowed me to "change my life" and move on to occupy myself full-time with bio-natural disciplines as a professional operator. Through Shiatsu, TuiNa and Qigong I take care and help to acquire the tools to take care of oneself in a natural way, stimulating physical and functional potentialities to which one can draw in the difficult and demanding moments of life.
Registration in October 2004 at the first level of studies at the European Shiatsu Institute in Rome and in May 2009 attainment of the shiatsu operator diploma, according to the Zen Shiatsu method developed by Master Shizuto Masunaga. The acquired qualification proves a professional training course carried out on a three-year basis and made up of over seven hundred hours of theoretical and practical work.
Overcoming of the FIS (Italian Shiatsu Federation) theoretical-practical exam in February 2010 and subsequent enrollment in the ROS (Shiatsu Operators Register), an entity that certifies the compliance of the studies carried out with the criteria of law and FNSS (Federation) National Shiatsu Schools) and the FISieo (Italian Shiatsu Teachers and Operators Federation).
Post-diploma specialization on the treatment of the Fasce (levels 1 and 2) through the Seminars held by Gabriella Poli, one of the founders in 1989 of the European Shiatsu Institute and teaching Director of the Rome office (other locations of the Institute in Basel, Berlin, Bern, Florence, Heidelberg, Linz, Milan, Munich, Münster, Turin, Vienna, Zurich).
Periodical refresher courses with Italian and foreign Masters, including in particular Clifford Andrews.
QIGONG study undertaken in 2006 under the guidance of an authentic Chinese Master, Prof. Li Xiaoming, Director of the Qigong Medical Research Institute at the Chinese University of Medicine and Pharmacology in Beijing. Master Li Xiaoming has held courses in Italy since 1988, as part of an educational program aimed at bringing people closer together and integrating Eastern and Western medicine.
For this purpose, FIMI - Italian Integrated Medicine Federation - was founded in Italy and I am registered as a member.
Between one seminar and another by Master Li Xiaoming, from 2006 to 2010 I attended weekly classes at the Scuola del Drago in Rome, under the guidance of FIMI certified teachers.
I currently have the honor to spread the lessons learned by guiding Qigong Practice Groups through lectures and seminars, weekly, monthly, commercials, also in collaboration with Schools and Associations.
From 2009 to 2014 I attended the Traditional Chinese Energy Massage Course (TuiNa) in Rome, earning an elementary level diploma (end of two years) and then an intermediate level (end of course), awarded by the University of Beijing after passing the two respective theoretical and practical examinations.
The course was organized by the Qigong People Li Xiaoming circle of Monterotondo, under the technical direction of Master Li, who gave a series of lectures during the training and attended both exams.
